The costs can be managed through the design phase and tracked to allow the construction team to make the best decisions from various options. This allows the job to remain within budget and on time with predictable performance and quality. Design and Engineering

Zimkor has experienced Project Coordinators and Project Managers to control the shop drawings, engineering and design of the steel. We utilize the latest computer aided drafting techniques including Tekla, Xsteel and SDS2. We embrace the new Integrated Project Delivery System with BIM modeling capability and sharing information with the Engineer of Record. We also offer full design engineering of connections, stairs and rails.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fabrication

Our shop is a full service facility using our own forces to build structural, miscellaneous metals, stairs and rails with experienced and talented personnel. We are an AISC Certified Fabricator with both in-house QC capabilities and long standing relationships with local ITL facilities to insure a quality product. Production schedules are created and kept to ensure each project stays on schedule per its commitments.

Zimkor utilizes a select group of well-qualified erectors to install the projects in sequence, on schedule and safely. We typically include the erecting in our contracts and treat our erecting partners as an extension of Zimkor and assume full responsibility for a seamless transition from design to production to installation.
